Alexander Sharp Deane was born on 25 November 1796 at Cork.1 He was the son of Alexander Deane and Elizabeth Sharp.2

His father died 1806.2

On 15 September 1818 he was admitted a freeman of Cork.1 His common name was 'Sandy Bull'.1

In February 1823 he apparently was apprenticed to Alfred Nicholson who was a drawing master, rather than an an architect.1

Alexander Sharp Deane married Mary Lane on Saturday, 23 August 1828.1

Alexander and Thomas were in partnership together.3 Alexander (and presumably his spouse Mary) lived at Blackrock Road, in Ballintemple, Cork.1 Alexander Sharp Deane was an architect for the Ecclesiastical Commissioners.1 Alexander (and presumably his spouse Mary) lived at 4 Belgrave Place, in Cork.1

Alexander died in 1847 of tuberclosis.1,3
