Jean Reid was born on 9 June 1908 at at Taylor Street in the Launceston suburb of Invermay.1 She was the daughter of William Bruce Reid and Lorna Mary Innes.1 She presumably lived with her parents at Taylor Street, in Katanning, Western Australia, in 1916.1 Jean lived in 1931 at 83 Charlston Road, in Bendigo, Victoria.1 She was a clerk.1
