George Walter Wesley was born circa 1859 at Kensington, London.2 He was the son of William Wesley and Frances Hannah Wayte.2

His mother died circa December 1860 at the approximate age of 39 years. After the death of their mother, William Wesley remained with his two eldest sons in London, whilst the three youngest children were sent home to Derbyshire with his wife's sister Emma..2

He was recorded as living with his aunt Emma, a servant and two older siblings in the 1861 census at Bulls Head, Swadlincote, Derbyshire. He was recorded as being just 2 years old.2

He was recorded as living with his aunt Emma and her husband, a younger cousin and a servant in the 1871 census at 38 Benfield Road, Lambeth, London. He was recorded as being 12 years old.3 He was a scholar.3

He was recorded as living with his aunt and her husband, his cousin, a 'lady's help' and two servants in the 1881 census at Knoll Road, Dorking, Surrey. He was recorded as being 22 years old.4 He was an 'undergraduate of London.4'

He was recorded as living with his Emma aunt and her husband, a cousin, another family member and five servants in the 1891 census at Dorking, Surrey. He was recorded as being 32 years old.5 He was a solicitor.5

He was recorded as living with his aunt, her husband and two servants in the 1901 census at Dorking, Surrey.6 They was listed as a beneficiary in Alfred Chabot's will on 30 May 1908.7

He was recorded as living with his aunt and a servant in the 1911 census at 'Viewlands' Knoll Road, Dorking, Surrey. The house had 12 rooms.8 He was listed as sole beneficiary in his aunt Emma Sophia Wayte's will on 4 July 1921. The estate was valued at £39,436 15s. 1d..9
