Thomas Watson was born in 1832 at London.1 He was a reelman in 1851.2 Thomas lived in 1851 at Reelman's Row, Willingtton, Northumberland.2 He was a fisherman in 1857.2

He married Adeline Jane Fooks, daughter of William Samuel Fooks and Maria Jane Richardson, in a Church of England ceremony at St. Peter's on Thursday, 1 October 1857 at Melbourne. On the marriage record Adeline is shown as 21 years of age. The registration of her death shows her to have been married at 17 years of age. The marriage register dates the marriage as on first day of October 1857. Her birth registration quite clearly is dated 30 January 1843. Was Adeline only 14 years of age when she married?. Adeline was the daughter of a solicitor..1
