Arthur Henry Nicholson was born circa 1888 at Bootle, Liverpool.1 He was the son of Malcolm Nicholson and Margaret Parr.1
He was recorded as living with his parents and older siblings, Malcolm, Hubert, William, Thomas, Margaret and John in the 1891 census at 231 Marsh Lane, Bootle, Liverpool. He was recorded as being 3 years old.3
He was recorded as living with his parents and older siblings, Thomas, Margaret and Hubert in the 1901 census at Bootle, Liverpool. He was recorded as being 13 years old.4
He was recorded as living with his father, four neices and nephews and siblings John, Margaret and Malcolm in the 1911 census at 116 Whetstone Lane, Birkenhead, Cheshire. He was recorded as being 23 years old.5 His occupation was recorded as being a solicitor's articled clerk in the census.5
