Richard Aylott was born in 1851 at Wise Lane, West Drayton, Middlesex.1 He was the son of Richard Phipps Aylott and Ann Baskerville.1

He was recorded as living with his parents and his older siblings Samuel, William and Ann in the 1851 census at West Drayton, Middlesex. He was recorded as being just 2 months old.2 Richard Aylott was baptised at All Saints and Saint John on Sunday, 4 July 1858 at Hertford. He was baptised at the same time as his brothers.1 Richard Aylott was sent to Hertford Workhouse, Hertford, 14 July 1862 on the death of his father, and stayed there for nine months.1 He was a printing machine manager in September 1886.3 Richard lived in September 1886 at St. Pancras, London.3

Richard Aylott married Elizabeth Goss, daughter of William John Goss, at the parish church on Sunday, 19 September 1886 at St. Dunstan's West, London.3

Richard died on 9 November 1906 at Wandsworth, London.1 On his death, Richard Aylott left £439 to Elizabeth Goss.1
