George Irvine McMunn was born on 24 September 1860 at India or Burma.1 He was the son of Thomas McMunn and Annie Spear.1 George Irvine McMunn was baptised on Sunday, 23 December 1860 at Thayet Myo, Burma.2
George Irvine McMunn married Susanna Victoria Cooper at Strand Register Office on Thursday, 13 May 1880 at London. They were 19 and 23 respectively.3 George Irvine McMunn was a gentleman.3 He was a medical student, a dental surgeon or a medical practitioner circa 1890.1
George apparently practised as a dentist in Hertfordshire, in London and in Sunderland between 1892 and 1897.4 George and Maude lived in February 1894 at Sunderland, Durham.5
He married Maude Grace Anna Clifford, a widow marrying for the third time, aged about 25, daughter of John Hugh Clifford, at the Register Office on Saturday, 24 February 1894 at Sunderland Registration District, Durham. However, George was almost certainly still married to his previous wife despite saying he was a widow..5 George Irvine McMunn was a surgeon dentist at Sunderland, Durham.5
From 1900 he practised in Westminster Hospital for 4 years, in Scarborough in Yorkshire, then predominantly in London up until his apparent retirement in 1924.4
He was recorded as head of household in the 1901 census with Maude Grace Anna Clifford as his spouse at Topfields Parade, Hornsley, Middlesex. He was 40 years old. Also living in the house was his step-son, step-daughter, and his young son.6
George died in December 1932 at Croydon Registration District, Surrey, at age 72.1
