Hilda Mary Babington was born on 24 March 1889 at George Town, Tasmania.1 She was the daughter of Reverend James Sutherland Babington and Grace Fookes.1 Hilda Mary Babington was a religious instruction teacher circa 1920.2 Hilda lived circa 1921 at at Rothley 13 Sorrett Avenue in the Melbourne suburb of Malvern.2 She was office secretary for the Mothers Union in 1921 at St. Paul's Cathedral, in Melbourne.2 She retired in 1934.2
