Ruby Ellen Fookes was born on 29 October 1885 at Waratah, Tasmania.2 She was the daughter of Rev. Henry Samuel Cox Fookes and Jane Maria Murray.1 She presumably lived with her parents at Waratah, Tasmania, in 1890.3
Ruby died on 31 May 1896 at Waratah, Tasmania, at age 10.2 Her body was interred at Waratah Old Cemetery at Waratah, Tasmania. Her mother is buried in the same grave.1
