Alfred Henry Terry was born circa March 1866 at Bolton-le-Moors, Bolton, Lancashire.2,1 He was the son of Thomas Terry and Ruth Anna Leonard.1

He was recorded as living with his parents, a boarder, two servants and his brothers Thomas, Frederick and Charles in the 1871 census at Lansdown Villa Wilmslow Road. He was recorded as being 5 years old..3

He was recorded as living with his parents, a boarder, a servant and his brothers Thomas, Frederick, Charles and Ernest in the 1881 census at Wilmslow Road, Withington, Lancashire. He was recorded as being 15 years old.1

He was recorded as living with his father, his father's second wife, an assistant to his father and his siblings Thomas, Frederick and Ernest in the 1891 census at 87 Wilmslow Road, Withington, Lancashire. He was recorded as being 25 years old.4 His occupation was recorded as being a merchant's clerk in the census.4

He was recorded as living with his brother, sister-in-law and nephew in the 1901 census at Withington, Lancashire.5 His occupation was recorded as being a company secretary in the census.6 He was the administrator of Frederick Herbert Terry's estate on 24 March 1934 at Manchester.6
