He was recorded as living with his parents, three servants and his siblings Richard, Elizabeth, Charles, Thomas and Ann in the 1841 census at Church Street, Chellaston, Derbyshire. He was recorded as being 15 years old.2
John Bryer Richardson married Mary Usher on Tuesday, 6 September 1864 at Port Lincoln, South Australia.1
John died on 17 April 1877 at Port Lincoln, South Australia, at age 51.1
