Hartley Beaumont Wright was born on 30 August 1873 at Burnside, South Australia.1 He was the son of George Speller Wright J.P. and Emma Elwin Olifent.

Hartley Beaumont Wright married Maud Parkes at Manthorpe Memorial Congregational Church on Wednesday, 26 March 1902 at the Adelaide suburb of Unley. They were 28 and 18 respectively.2 Hartley Beaumont Wright was a metalurgist with the Boulder Perseverence Company on 30 August 1913 at Western Australia.3 He was a chemist and assayer in 1932 at Africa.3

His mother died 3 July 1932 at the age of 86. Hartley was aged 58 when this happened.4

His father died 1 January 1935 at the age of 89. Hartley was aged 61 when this happened.5

Hartley died on 6 March 1955 at Myrtlebank, South Australia, at age 81.2
