Caroline Deane was born on 14 August 1861 at Adelaide.1 She was the daughter of Kyrl Allen Deane and Rosanna Reed.1 Annie Harrison, wife of Charles Harrison, Laborer, was charged with using insulting language in Pelham-Street on the 3rd of September. Caroline Deane, daughter of Allen Deane, clerk, said there was a dispute about some slates with the defendant, who called her and her relatives 'a thundering lot of thieves'. The case was dismissed.2

Her father died 14 December 1878 at the approximate age of 78. Caroline was aged 17 when this happened.

Caroline Deane married (?) Reed circa 1885.

Caroline died on 29 March 1887 at at Twelfth Street in the Adelaide suburb of Bowden at age 25 perhaps of tuberculosis.3
