Harriet Louisa Finer was born circa December 1862 at Hackney, London.1 She was the daughter of George Finer and Elizabeth Darby.1

She was recorded as living with her parents and sisters Alice and Rosa in the 1881 census at 6 Deddington Terrace Beaumont Road, Leyton, Essex. She was recorded as being 18 years old.1,2

She was recorded as living with her parents and Rosa in the 1891 census at 160 Elderfield Road, Hackney, London. She was recorded as being 27 years old although she appears as 'Louisa'.3

She was recorded as living with her mother, her unmarried sister Rosa and her niece Alice. in the 1901 census at Blurton Road, Hackney, London. She was recorded as being 38 years old.4

She resided in the 1911 census at Hackney Union Workhouse 2 Sidney Road, Homerton, London. She was recorded as being 47 years old.5

Harriet died unmarried in March 1921 after some time in the workhouse.6
