Richard John Collins was born on 24 May 1915 at Brisbane.2
Richard John Collins married Mary Bridget Nicholson, daughter of William Henry Hosnell Nicholson and Mary Nolan McLennan, in 1945 at Lake Cargelligo, New South Wales.1 The Nicholson's were a hard-working family but like most people of their generation enjoyed a simple social life with a love of sports; especially tennis, cricket and anything to do with horses. Tennis and cricket were played at Glenwood and dances held in the woolshed and the "Big Room" at night.3
Richard died in 1966 at Nyngan, New South Wales.2
