William Alexander George Woods was born on 8 February 1897 at Port Pirie, South Australia.1 He was the son of Frederick James Woods and Eliza Edith Giles.1

William Alexander George Woods married Laura Denny on Tuesday, 2 November 1920 at Broken Hill, New South Wales. They were 23 and 17 respectively.1 William Alexander George Woods and Laura Denny were divorced on 15 August 1925 at Broken Hill, New South Wales, after it was determined that Laura had committed adultery with William's brother Alfred.2

William Alexander George Woods married Hazel Audrey White in 1930 at South Australia.1

William Alexander George Woods married Annie Goodger on Wednesday, 18 April 1962 at South Australia.1

William died on 20 July 1971 at Adelaide at age 74.1
