Cyril Lempriere Westbrook was born on 8 December 1881. He was the son of Thomas Westbrook and Fanny Elizabeth Lempriere. Cyril Lempriere Westbrook attended school in 1893 at The Hutchins School, in Hobart, where he won a Newcastle Scholarship.1 Cyril was employed by the Customs Department on 1 July 1898.2 Cyril was employed by Commonwealth Audit Office in 1908.3

Cyril Lempriere Westbrook married Annie Evelynne Morton. Cyril Lempriere Westbrook was Chief Inspector for Excise.3 He retired in 1946.3
