Charles Keys was born circa 1823 at Ireland.1 He was baptised at Drumbulcan on Sunday, 15 June 1823 at Derryvullan parish, County Fermanagh, Ireland.1

Charles emigrated in 1844 on the 'Herald.' Charles arrived at Australia in 1844.
He was a turnkey in 1849 at Brisbane Gaol, in Brisbane.1

Charles Keys married Ann Jane Rodgers on Tuesday, 18 September 1849 at Brisbane.2 Charles Keys May have been insolvent in in 1866 at Queensland.3

Charles died on 19 June 1891 at Brisbane.4
