Sarah was born on Sunday, 1 September 1782 at Rotherhithe, London.1 She was the daughter of Henry Westbrook and Sarah Taylor.2 Sarah Westbrook was baptised at St. Mary the Virgin on Sunday, 22 September 1782 at Rotherhithe, London.1,2 She presumably lived with her parents at Lower Queen Street, in Rotherhithe, London, in November 1790.3
