Allen Wiles Deane was born in 1857 at South Australia.2 He was the son of Alexander Charles Deane and Ann Dunne.1 Allen Wiles Deane was adopted by the Wiles family in Auburn circa 1860.3

His mother died 26 June 1870 at the approximate age of 38.

A family member states that the children from Alexander Deane's first marriage were looked after by a woman in Walkerville because the second wife Sarah Sheils didn't want to care for them.4

On 17 March 1886 Allen Wiles Deane gave instructions to sell all "The Whole of his Live and Dead FARM STOCK" five miles east of Balaklava including farm machinery and the usual sundries as hehad decided to return to Adelaide. He also hoped to sell his 338 acres of "superior land, close to the River Wakefield."5

Allen Wiles Deane married Sarah Hannah Marriott on Tuesday, 13 April 1886 at Auburn, South Australia.6,3 Allen Wiles Deane was a storekeeper at Auburn, South Australia.3

His father died 12 April 1912 at the age of 71.

Allen died on 24 June 1916 at Adelaide.7
