Alfred was born at Park Street on Wednesday, 28 April 1909 at Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand. He was born at home.1,2,3 He was the son of Alfred Augustus Fooks and Adele Catherine Helen Nairn. Alfred Charles Lindsay Fooks was a civil engineer, with a very distinguished engineering career in geothermal power. He was the pioneer of Geothermal Power at Wairakei.4,5 Alfred lived in 1957 at Rickit Street, Taupo, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.5

Alfred died on 20 July 1980 at Taupo, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, at age 71.4
