John was born circa 1787 at Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.1 He was the son of William Fooks and Ann Williams MacKenzie. John Fooks was baptised on Saturday, 27 October 1787 at Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, Dorset.1
John died in March 1788.2 His body was interred at All Saints on 18 March 1788 at the village of Wyke Regis near the town of Weymouth, Dorset.2
