Ivy was born on Tuesday, 24 November 1908 at the Sydney suburb of Granville.3,4 She was the daughter of William Davison and Sarah Elizabeth Mitchell.2
She married John William Aplitt, son of Donald Norman Aplitt and Lily Jones, on Saturday, 16 January 1937 on John's on his 30th birthday, at the Sydney suburb of Auburn. She was 28 and her husband John was 30..5,3,6
Her husband John died 18 December 1945 at the age of 38, leaving her a widow at age 37. On 20 December 1945 she was awarded £1750 compensation for the death of her husband.2
Ivy died on 27 September 1979 at age 70.3
