William Oaten was born in 1892.1 He was the son of William Oaten and Elizabeth Burford.1
William Oaten married Martha Eveline Louisa Thomas, daughter of William John Thomas and Caroline Louisa Lark, in 1919 at Cardiff.1 William Oaten was buried in 1965 at Aberford Cemetery, Leeds.1
William died on 18 October 1965 at Wakefield, Yorkshire.1
