Theresa Oaten was born in 1836 at Taunton, Somerset.1 She was the daughter of Frederick Oaten and Dinah Bradbeer.1 Theresa Oaten was baptised at St. Mary Magdalen on Sunday, 22 May 1836 at Taunton, Somerset.1 She was a monthly nurse (midwife.)1
Theresa Oaten married Thomas Joint at St. Jude's Parish Church in 1858 at Bristol.1 Theresa Oaten was On the day of the 1881 census Theresa was staying with Mr and Mrs Archibald Andrews, an African trader. The Andrew's had a one month old son called Gerald and it is likely that Theresa was employed to look after him. at 41 Redland Road, Westbury on Trym, Bristol.1,2 She witnessed her mother Dinah Bradbeer's death on 13 May 1888 at 6 Brandon Steep, St. George's Road, Bristol.1
Theresa died in 1918 at Bristol.1
