Ernest Walter Oaten was born on 27 April 1875 at Bristol.1 He was the son of Francis Walter Oaten and Elizabeth Rebecca Griffiths.1
Ernest Walter Oaten married Amy Johnson in 1910 at Cardiff.1 Ernest Walter Oaten was an ernest became a leading spiritualist and in 1916 led a Parliamentary Campaign for the legal recognition of Spiritualism. He made the first Spiritualist broadcast on the BBC and in 1919 became the editor of'The Two Worlds'. He was also Sir Arthur Doyle's tour organiser and right-hand man.1
Ernest died on 3 January 1952 at Bristol at age 76.1
