Lars was born at Bårdset Nedre farm on Sunday, 19 January 1794 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.2 He was the son of Christopher Larsen Krogen and Anne Madsdatter Krogen.1 Lars Christophersen was baptised on Sunday, 9 March 1794 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway.2 He presumably lived with his parents at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, in December 1795.3 He lived with his parents at at Krogen (now Kroken) farm Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark, Norway, in April 1820.4
He married Mari Gulbrandsdatter, on Wednesday, 12 April 1820 at Ringsaker Parish, Hedmark..4
