Ansten Eriksen Mørud may have been born circa 1648 at Norway.⁴ He was the son of Erik Anstensen Mørud and Johanne Pedersdatter Mørud.^2,3

After the death of Erik Anstensen Mørud and probate was settled, Mørud farm passed to his son Ansten Eriksen Mørud.⁵

He married Mari Simensdatter Mørud, circa 1670.

Ansten likely died in 1699 at at Mørud farm Furnes Parish, Hedmark, Norway.^4,5 His body was likely interred on 16 November 1699 at Vang Parish, Hedmark, Norway.⁴
