Anne Hansdatter Saxlund was born circa 1785 at at Elton farm near the village of Ottestad Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.1 She was the daughter of Hans Simensen Saxlund and Marie Nielsdatter Saxlund.1 She presumably lived with her parents at at Elton Østre farm near the village of Ottestad Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway, in September 1785.1 Anne Hansdatter Saxlund was baptised on Sunday, 18 September 1785 at Ottestad, Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway.1 She presumably lived with her parents at at Sylju farm near the village of Stange Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway, in June 1788.2 She presumably lived with her parents at at Saxlund (or Sakslund) farm near the village of Stange Stange Parish, Hedmark, Norway, in March 1796.3
She was recorded as living with her parents and five siblings Simen, Oliv, Dorthe, Niels and Hans in the 1801 census at Stange, Stange Parish, Hedmark. She was recorded as being 15 years old.4
