He married Sarah Davey, circa 1835.1

He was recorded as head of household in the 1841 census with Sarah Davey (which other records indicate is his spouse) at Frederick Street, Brighton, Sussex. Also living in the house were their 3 children.2

He was recorded as head of household in the 1851 census with Sarah Davey as his spouse at 73 Western Road, Brighton, Sussex. Also living in the house were his 5 children.3 Thomas Young was a shoemaker emplying 10 men and eight women.3
