Malcolm Nicholson was born in 1834 at Inverness-shire, Scotland.1 He emigrated with James Nicholson and his family from Liverpool on 29 July 1854 on the 'Hornet.1,2' Malcolm Nicholson arrived at Geelong, Victoria, on 23 October 1854.1
