Helena Clarke was born circa 1817 at Morcott, Rutland.1 She was a general shop keeper in April 1871.1

She was recorded as head of household in the 1871 census at 1a Clerkenwell Close, Clerkenwell, London. Also living in the house was her widowed aunt Catherine.1
