John Cyril Reid was born on 2 May 1907 at the Launceston suburb of Invermay.1 He was the son of John Barclay Reid and Miriam Fairbrother.1
John Cyril Reid married Isobel May McConchie in 1937 at Victoria.2
John died on 16 February 1980 at the Melbourne suburb of Prahran at age 72.1 His body was interred at Springvale Botanical Crematorium on 19 February 1980 at the Melbourne suburb of Springvale.2
