Mathew Henry George was born in 1873 at Bungaree, Victoria.1

Mathew Henry George married Adeline Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of John Thomas Lewis and Matilda Louisa Fooks, in 1899 at Victoria.1 Mathew (and presumably his spouse Adeline) lived in 1903 at 442 Spencer Street, Melbourne.1 Mathew Henry George was a grocer.1 Mathew (and presumably his spouse Adeline) lived in 1914 at Melbourne.1 Mathew (and presumably his spouse Adeline) lived in 1924 at at 'Clifton' McIndoe Parade in the Melbourne suburb of Mordialloc.1

Mathew died on 2 April 1931 at Melbourne of suicide by gunshot.1 His body was interred at Booroondara General Cemetery on 4 April 1931 at the Melbourne suburb of Kew.1
