Mathew Henry George was born in 1873 at Bungaree, Victoria.¹

Mathew Henry George married Adeline Elizabeth Lewis, daughter of John Thomas Lewis and Matilda Louisa Fooks, in 1899 at Victoria.¹ Mathew (and presumably his spouse Adeline) lived in 1903 at 442 Spencer Street, Melbourne.¹ Mathew Henry George was a grocer.¹ Mathew (and presumably his spouse Adeline) lived in 1914 at Melbourne.¹ Mathew (and presumably his spouse Adeline) lived in 1924 at at 'Clifton' McIndoe Parade in the Melbourne suburb of Mordialloc.¹

Mathew died on 2 April 1931 at Melbourne of suicide by gunshot.¹ His body was interred at Booroondara General Cemetery on 4 April 1931 at the Melbourne suburb of Kew.¹
