Nancy Ann Cattral was born on 24 August 1809 at York.3,4

She married Thomas Medhurst, at St. Philip's on Saturday, 13 October 1832 at Liverpool..2,1

Nancy Ann Cattral was recorded as living with Thomas Medhurst in the 1841 census at Regent Street, St. Lawrence, York, and other records indicate this was her spouse. The 1841 census only recorded adult ages rounded down to the nearest 5 years; her approximate age was recorded as 30 years old. Also living in the house were three of their children.5

Nancy Ann Cattral was recorded as the spouse of Thomas Medhurst in the 1851 census at 47 Gerard Street (?), Liverpool.3

Nancy, as the mother of the bride, along with Thomas may have attended the wedding of Elizabeth and Donald Nicholson, a book-keeper, in a Church of England ceremony at St. Philip's on Wednesday, 6 August 1856 at Liverpool. Elizabeth was 19 and her husband Donald was 22.. Others who may have attended include Jane Wetherell as mother of the groom and Donald Nicholson as father of the groom. Elizabeth and Donald went on to have at least five children together.6,7,8

Nancy died on 15 January 1859 at Liverpool Registration District at age 49 of liver disease that had apparently lasted for 6 months..9 Her body was interred at Toxteth Park Cemetery in January 1859 at Liverpool.10
