Dr. John Alexander McMunn was born on 30 October 1827.2 He was the son of Dr. John McMunn and Eleanor Maria Walker.1 Dr. John Alexander McMunn was baptised at St. Mary's on Sunday, 18 November 1827 at Dublin.2 He was an army surgeon.3

Dr. John Alexander McMunn married Charlotte Edith Matthias on Wednesday, 18 November 1868 at Chelsea, London.4 Dr. John Alexander McMunn was an assistant surgeon, later surgeon at Chelsea Hospital, Chelsea, London.1,5

John died on 14 December 1899 at St. Leonards-on-Sea, Sussex, at age 72.6,7
