Elizabeth Brambel was born circa 1788 at St. Andrew's, Hereford.2,1

Elizabeth Brambel married James Darby, son of Thomas Darby and Elizabeth Perry, at St. Andrew's Parish Church on Wednesday, 25 December 1811 at Hertford.3 St. Andrews was a church of Saxon origin, and was added to until the mid 18th century to accomodate a growing population. By this stage it had deteriorated to such a degree that it was torn down and a new church built in 1870.

Elizabeth and James lived in 1813 at Butchery Green, in Hertford.4 Elizabeth and James lived in May 1818 at Hartham Lane, Hertford.1 Elizabeth and James lived in August 1828 at Lime Kilns, Greenwich, London. Elizabeth and James lived in September 1830 at Plumbridge Street, Greenwich, London.1,5 Elizabeth and James lived in April 1833 at Blackheath Hill, Greenwich, London.1

They was recorded as head of household in the 1841 census at Greenwich, London. Also living in the house were two of his children.6

Elizabeth Brambel was recorded as the spouse of James Darby in the 1851 census at 12 Vine Street, Westminster, London.7
