Alfred Peck

Alfred Peck was born on 2 October 1849 at Morphett Vale, South Australia.² He was the son of Joseph William Peck and Ann Darby.¹ Alfred lived in 1874 at North Adelaide.³

He married Eliza Maria Davis, daughter of William Davis, at the residence of Joseph Peck on Monday, 18 May 1874 at Morphett Vale, South Australia.. Eliza and Alfred went on to have five known children together.¹ He was a carpenter / french polisher. Family rumour has him working on St Peter's Cathedral at some point. circa 1880.³

His mother died 11 December 1883 at the age of 71. Alfred was aged 34 when this happened.

His father died 20 November 1886 at the age of 69. Alfred was aged 37 when this happened. Joseph died almost at the time his nine month gaol sentance for sexual assault on a 12 year old girl, a crime he admitted.. He was a witness at the wedding of Daniel Radford and Emma Peck at at the residence of Alfred Peck on Wednesday, 30 March 1887 at the Adelaide suburb of Prospect.⁴

Alfred died on 21 October 1936 at Adelaide at age 87.⁵
