Harry Sutherland Rogers was born on 1 November 1904 at Dubbo, New South Wales.2,1 He was the son of Henry Cyril Rogers and Alexandra Sutherland.1 There is also a suggestion that the drought weighed so heavily on his father Henry that he began drinking a bottle of whiskey a day whilst droving on horseback. He would attack his sons with a stockwhip; evenutually Alexandra left him and took the family to Sydney.3 He moved with his mother to Sydney circa 1920.4
He was a Coogee and Bondi Surf Life Saver.3 Harry Sutherland Rogers was school attendance at Hawkesbury Agricultural College.4
Harry took up boxing to become later a Golden Gloves Champion who never had his nose broken.3
Harry Sutherland Rogers married Kathleen Shields in 1929.5,1 Harry and Kathleen lived circa 1930 at Kilaloolah, in Boyup Brook, Western Australia.3 His body was interred at Boyup Brook cemetery on 13 May 1985 at Boyup Brook, Western Australia.6
Harry died on 13 May 1985 at age 80.7
