William died on 25 October 1914 at Herlies, Flanders, France, Company Sergeant Major 7597 - 1st Bn Lincolnshire Regiment - 14/15Star & clasp,British War medal and Victory medal - died of wounds -buried at Bethune Town Cemetery.4,5,6
