Robert Samuel Wade was born in December 1895 at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.1,2,3,5 He was the son of James William Frederick Wade and Ellen O'Leary.5 Robert lived in 1901 at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.1,5 Robert lived in 1911 at 24 Laird Road, Wadsley, Sheffield.5 He was Grand Boy in 1911 at Sheffield.5 He enlisted with 2/5 Bn Lincolnshire Regiment - Private 13449 on 8 November 1914.5 He landed in France on 19 May 1915 at France.5

Robert died on 26 September 1917 at Polygon Wood, Flanders, France, at age 21 Buried at Bridge House Cemetery.2,5 He has an entry in Thomas Ward's Memorial Book of the Great War in 1919 at Sheffield.5 He He was listed in the Roll of Honour - 'Wade. Robert Samuel, 13449'. in 1919 at Holy Trinity Church, Darnall, Sheffield.5
