George Beard was born circa 1783 at Waltham Abbey, Essex.1,4 He was the son of James Beard and Sarah (?)3 George Beard was baptised at Abbey Church of Waltham Holy Cross and St Lawrence on Monday, 23 February 1784 at Waltham Abbey, Essex.3

He married Sarah Darby, daughter of Thomas Darby and Elizabeth Perry, in a Church of England ceremony at All Saints on Sunday, 10 October 1824 at Edmonton, Middlesex..2 George and Sarah lived on 23 September 1847 at Waltham Abbey, Essex.5 George Beard was a cabinetmaker on 23 September 1847.5 He was a pattern maker in March 1851.1

He was recorded as head of household in the 1851 census with Sarah Darby as his spouse at Stewardstone St., Waltham Abbey, Essex. He was recorded as being 69 years old.1

George died circa September 1859 at Edmonton registration district, Middlesex.6 He was buried on 27 September 1859 at Waltham Abbey, Essex.4
