Betsy Jameson was born circa 1832 at Bolton, Lancashire.1 She was the daughter of James Jameson and Nancy Calderbank.1 Betsy Jameson was a doubler, most likely in a cotton mill in March 1851.1

She was recorded as living with her parents and siblings Fanny, Mary, Anne, John and James in the 1851 census at Barn Street, Bolton, Lancashire. She was recorded as being 19 years old.1

Betsy Jameson married Thomas Whitworth at St. Peter's on Sunday, 21 March 1852 at Bolton, Lancashire.2 Betsy Jameson was a cotton factory operative in April 1861.3

She was recorded as living with her parents, two of her children and her siblings Mary, Anne, John and James in the 1861 census at 56 Asburner Street, Bolton, Lancashire. She was recorded as being 29 years old.3 Betsy Jameson was a tobacconist in April 1881.4

She was recorded as living with her husband, her father and her sister and Fanny in the 1881 census at 4 Deansgate Road, Bolton, Lancashire. She was recorded as being 49 years old.5
