Vernon Riley Guy Ashcroft was born on 11 October 1911.2 He was the son of Alfred Wells Ashcroft and Coralie Hannah Lucy Fookes.1 Vernon Riley Guy Ashcroft was born on 11 November 1911.3
His father died 3 February 1913 at the age of 43. Vernon was aged 1 when this happened.
Vernon emigrated from Australia circa 1914 with his mother.4 Vernon arrived at New Zealand circa 1914 with his mother.4
