Francis William Keys was born on 4 July 1881 at Brisbane.2,3 He was the son of Charles William Alexander Keys and Ellen Mary Hill.1 He lived with his parents at 35 George Street, in Brisbane, in 1905.4 Francis William Keys was a carter in 1905.4 He was a carter in 1908.5 He lived with his parents at at 68 Little Edward Street in the Brisbane suburb of Spring Hill in 1913.6 He was a foreman in 1913.6 He lived with his parents at Spring Hill in 1917.7 He was a foreman in 1917.7
Francis William Keys began military service on Tuesday, 8 May 1917 with the 7 and 8 reinforcements to the 42 Infantry Battalion AIF in the Great War at age 35.8
Francis William Keys embarked on HMAT Horoata on 14 June 1917.8 Francis lived in 1919 at at Hopetoun Street in the Brisbane suburb of Hamilton, Queensland.9 He was a soldier in 1919.9
Francis died on 13 April 1958 at age 76.10
