Kyrle Sharpe Deane was born on 16 November 1878 at Adelaide.3 He was the son of Alexander Charles Deane and Sarah Shiels.1 He was a student at He received a fourth prize in the junior division at St. John's Grammar School, Adelaide, in 1892.4,5 Kyrle Sharpe Deane was a successful candidate at the University Preliminary Examinations in September 1892.4

His father died 12 April 1912 at the age of 71. Kyrle was aged 33 when this happened.

He married Violet Maud Kelynack Bartlett, at Christ Church on Monday, 13 April 1914 at Mt. Gambier, South Australia. The reception was apparently held at 'Coristol', Watson Street, Fullarton Estate...6

Kyrle died on 15 November 1951 at Adelaide at age 72.3
