William Shiels Deane was born on 2 August 1877 at Adelaide.3 He was the son of Alexander Charles Deane and Sarah Shiels.2
His father died 12 April 1912 at the age of 71. William was aged 34 when this happened.
William died on 12 August 1959 at Adelaide at age 82.3
