Harry Gordon Compton Fooks

Harry was born on Tuesday, 2 July 1918 at Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand.^2,3 He was the son of Alfred Augustus Fooks and Adele Catherine Helen Nairn. Harry Gordon Compton Fooks was a Civil Servant with the Government Tourist Bureau at Christchurch, New Zealand.² Harry was a Pilot Officer with the Royal New Zealand Airforce in the Second World War.²

Harry died on 21 July 1941 at Marcham, Abingdon, Berkshire, at age 23.² His body was interred at Brookwood Military Cemetery at Woking Borough, Surrey. His brother, who also died in a WWII aircraft crash, is buried in the same cemetery.²
