Maurice was born circa 1816. He was the son of Nathaniel Edwards and Ann Berjew.1 Maurice Edwards was baptised on Friday, 29 March 1816 at Even Swindon, Wiltshire.
He married Susan Berjew, daughter of Charles Berjew and Susan Hooke, by banns in a Church of England ceremony at St. Mary's on Monday, 4 July 1836 at the village of Bradford Abbas near the town of Sherbourne, Dorset..2
Maurice died on 9 June 1888 at Adelaide.
