John Beriew was also known as John Berjew. John was born in 1605.1 He was the son of Richard Beriew and Margery (?) John received a degree at from St. Mary Hall, Oxford, on 11 July 1623.1 John received a degree as a Batchelor of Arts at Oxford on 30 October 1626 and was awarded a Master of Arts 3 years later on July 4th 1629.. and was awarded a Master of Arts 3 years later on July 4th 1629.1 John Beriew was also known as Reverend.

He married Alice Merrifeild, on Friday, 30 April 1632 at Hungerford, West Berkshire..1 John Beriew was a curate in 1632 at Maiden Bradley, Wiltshire.2 He was the rector in 1638 at Norton Bavant, Wiltshire, a position he held for 23 years.2

His mother died 5 April 1638. They was a party in a lawsuit after 1643.1

John and Alice Merrifeild became the parents of Samuel Berjew circa March 1656.1 John was employed Rector at Kingston Deverill, Wiltshire, in 1660. In a long career in service to the Church of England he was Curate of Swallowcliffe, Wiltshire as well as Prebendary of Heytesbury..1 He was the rector in 1661 at Kingston Deverill, Wiltshire, a position he held for 27 years.2

John died in 1688 at Kingston Deverill, Wiltshire.1
